(ニューヨークの名門R&Bレーベル「アトランティック」とサブ・レーベルにあたる「キャット」や「アトコ」に残されたドゥーワップ & R&Bボーカル・グループを集めたグレート・コンピレーション。流石にトップ・レーベルだけあって内容の充実度はピカイチ。クローバースやドリフターズ、コースターズなどの有名どころからロイヤル・ジョーカーズやレイ・オー・バックスなどのレア・グループによる1951 - 62年録音の90曲を収録。ヒット曲はもちろん隠れた名曲も多々あり一曲たりとも無駄のない選曲が素晴らしいです。この値段でこの内容とは驚きの一言ですね。)
